Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy

HastaBazaar is operated by Hasta Bazaar Private Limited (हस्त बजार प्राइभेट लिमिटेड), incorporated in Nepal under the Companies Act, 2063 and registered with the Office of the Company Registrar, Nepal under registration number 406171/83/84. Registered office: Birgunj Metropolitan City, Ward 11, Parsa, Madhesh Province, Nepal.

References to “HastaBazaar”, “we”, “us” and “our” in this policy mean Hasta Bazaar Private Limited, unless the context states otherwise. Current company and PAN details are available on our Legal & Policies page.

Products listed on HastaBazaar must be lawful, safe and accurately described. This policy applies to product listings, images, descriptions and seller communications.

Prohibited products

HastaBazaar does not permit illegal, stolen, counterfeit or recalled goods; goods that unlawfully use another person's intellectual property; or products made or traded through unlawful exploitation.

Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons marketed for unlawful harm, illegal drugs, tobacco and vaping products, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the marketplace.

Also prohibited are unsafe or expired products, hazardous substances unsuitable for ordinary consumer delivery, protected wildlife or illegally traded animal products, unlawfully traded cultural property, stolen personal data and products intended to facilitate fraud or unauthorised access.

Sexual material involving children, non-consensual intimate material and products promoting unlawful violence or abuse are prohibited.

Restricted categories

Products subject to licensing, safety, labelling or special handling requirements need HastaBazaar's written approval before listing. These include food, cosmetics, supplements, medicines, medical devices, electrical goods and children's safety products.

Approval requires the relevant legal authorisations and product evidence. A submitted listing or an open seller account does not, by itself, approve a restricted category. Marketplace approval does not replace a licence required by law.

Accurate descriptions and authenticity

Sellers must have the right to sell each product and must provide accurate information about its maker, origin, materials, condition and safety. Claims such as handmade, locally made, organic, certified or therapeutic must be supported by appropriate evidence.

Products must not be advertised with false reviews, misleading images, concealed defects or unsupported guarantees. An approval or verification process is not a guarantee that every product is suitable for every use.

Reports and enforcement

Report a product concern to support@hastabazaar.com with the listing details, an explanation and available evidence. For an intellectual-property complaint, identify the protected work or right and explain your authority to raise the complaint.

We may pause or remove a listing, request documents, cancel affected orders or restrict a seller account while addressing a concern. Confirmed violations can lead to permanent removal, customer remedies and referral to the relevant authority.

Sellers must cooperate with safety investigations, recalls and valid refund claims. They can request a review of a marketplace decision by providing relevant evidence to support.
